Who We Are
Precision Sports Surfaces, Inc. is a running track construction company headquartered in Charlottesville, VA. We provide a wide variety of track systems that range from world record performing Rekortan®  to black SBR systems that are the choice of numerous budget-conscious owners. Over the past twenty-plus years, we have provided high-quality track and field event facility installations all over the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern states.

Why We Are Different
We prefer to act as the general contractor in charge of building or renovating your running track and field event facilities. Our management team has almost a hundred years of experience building athletic facilities. We treat our subcontractors and suppliers with a high level of respect and in return get exceptional treatment that results in projects being built with accuracy, within budget and on time. Our management team works together on your site to produce facilities with world-class tolerances. And when our in-house crews arrive to install the track surfaces, they install the systems in strict accordance with the specifications. When a Precision installation is completed, an owner will not find that their track is only 60% to 70% as thick as it is supposed to be.

History
Precision Sports Surfaces, Inc. was started in 1987. Andy Hord, the owner, is both the original founder and original president. The organization has constantly brought innovation to the track construction industry. We introduced the metered spreader and the high-pressure multi-tip spray apparatus to the industry. We were the first to develop the SPEED which has the look of a polyurethane Base Mat, but the consistency and thickness of a multi-layered SBR-based system. Our Takeoff Board System, which we have manufactured since 1992, is the best on the planet. With the addition of the Rekortan® system to our product line, we now offer an appropriate track surfacing system for everyone from an Olympics host to a high school that wants a safe, durable track surface.
